Crimbo Cheer 6.
It's just turned December, you know what that means! :)
Each year it seems i get busier and busier around this time of year and now i'm a cynical disgruntled chap turned 20 but i'm still here to try and get a little joy out of the forums with Crimbo themed Neocron fun.
More than half a decade ago when i was a joyful young individual i attempted to force you lot into being slightly more cheery for a month of the year. Damn i was annoying.
Still am. ;)
A lot of you know the drill by now so get decorating your signatures and avatars and heck we've had a few NC Crimbo wallpapers in the past so lets see who can make the best festive Neocron effort, even make it a contest if you will!
Lets deck the halls, hang the stockings, put out a Jack Whiskey for Killzor and start being a little festive!

Can I change the payment provider for my account?
PayPal craps on me every once in a while, suspending service unless I can provide them with some code that even my bank (the largest in the Nordic Countries) can't seem to find.
Now, when I wanted to reactivate my account, it failed because once an account has been established there is no way to change the payment provider. So far nobody has responded when I emailed to KK, so I thought to ask if anyone here has gotten their payment provider successfully changed. I really don't want to create another account.

Does any corp out there need a high-skill pistol/hacker spy?

new laptop
hey guys wondering if you can help.
im pretty pants poor when it comes to computers so need help!
I just bought a new laptop of a mate dirt cheap as he needs cash for xmas lol.
I have bought it for my GF for xmas so she can stop nagging me whilst im on nc lol.
my mate has got her profiles and stuff on it and i want to know how to delete everything on thier of hers without breaking the machine. I want it to be as if its brand new for my GF. It has vista on it.
Also i use a ADSL router at home but i think now maybe i need wireless so the laptop can go on the net at same time as the pc. - would this affect my gaming? ie would it be slower?
can some one tell me what i need to get please and where to get it?
This all sounds very nibbish but i am proper crap with computers lol i have to pay someone to fix mine when it breaks !

[OT] Starting an investment company - advice?
I'm looking for someone who can give me advice or point me in the right direction for starting up some sort of Investment Company.
For the past months I have worked hard and invested my money through means of various financial markets.
Everythings been going well and I'm happy with a solid return on my money. I'd now like to take this to the next level and start some sort of investment company, whereby rather than me using my hard earned cash or possibly using loans from friends (which i have been offered), I can open the investment opportunity to a wider range of people, yet still offer the same service - a fixed return on investment.
What i would be possibly offering is a 7% non-compound interest back
on money invested through me and payout every 20 days aprox. giving 140% back after the 20 day mark.
eg: £1000 - after 20 days £1400 etc
Any advice on legal and tax implications i could face and anyone who has started a successful business lend a word of advice.

[OT] To the smokers...
On Monday, I’m giving up smoking.
I mean it this time, I swear.
For the past seven years, I have contemplated conquering this personal Everest, and have always put off the idea for ‘just another year’. In the past, I’ve put it down to a lack of willpower and my youthful feelings of immortality, but if I’m being completely honest, I’m weak when it comes to smoking. As a smoker of around 25 a day, I physically feel around ten years older than I should.
If I count the numerous failed attempts to quit in the past, then this is the fourth time I have quit smoking. One thing I have never done, however, is quit nicotine completely. I have always worn patches, which gradually feed me my desired nicotine through the skin of my upper arm, so whenever I have run out, I’ve just ended up caving in and lighting up. That can’t happen this time.
I’m sick of the cost, I’m sick of having a brown tongue, and I’m sick of the feeling that one day, I’m going to die from this shit that I breathe in – which is optional.
I’ve always justified my habit with pathetic excuses like ‘I enjoy the taste’ and ‘It relaxes me’, but in reality – all it ever does is feeds my hunger for nicotine, and I foolishly associate this with a positive feeling.
I’ve read recently that if I quit smoking cold-turkey, the nicotine will have left my system in only 72 hours, and from that point, it’s all willpower.
Is this true?
Has anyone else in this community taken the seemingly giant leap from becoming a smoker to a non-smoker?
If so, please feel free to share any words of wisdom, and act as an inspiration to me before I stamp my lighters, cigarettes and ash-trays into the ground on Sunday night.

Returning old player
Hi guys,
I played neocron years ago, and left mainly as I have a lot of friends leave for other games. I always missed the universe of NC, there simply is nothing else like it. I used to play a hybrid monk back when you were allowed, and lead a guild for some time.
I am downloading the client right now, and after watching too many movies like Bladerunner and re reading too many cyberpunk books am coming back me thinks! ;)
I never got the mc5 chip on my monk, and really wondered what it is like to start again now, or maybe carry on my old toon. I have been somewhat of a min maxer in all the games I have played, how possible is it to get on somewhat of an even keel for pvp sakes? (edit: I mean gear and skills, not ability, that will take some time :) )

GM spawn event on Terra
Just want to say thanks to the GMs involved in today event.
was lots of fun and for once everyone from all factions / clans joined together to fight as one against the spawn.
lots of new mobs which was cool including a warbot bigger that Sieger! and ones that fire 6 missiles at a time.
i have lots of screenies, if you tell me how i can put them on here for you to look at.
again, thanks to the GMs - perhaps things are on the up?

Can you please help me with my setup?
I am thinking that I am going to start playing NC again. The only problem is that I have not reskilled any of my characters since the last point reset. The last time I played nc was in early 2.1, so I know nothing about the wierd things they did with all of the implants and MC5 chips. Can someone give me some suggestions for some good setups? I need setups for a hacking/pistol PE, csting spy, and apu.

I like it a lot, but as with other bethesda games - I'm really excited with the posibilities the of GECK (mod tool). Neocron TC anyone? :D
